Anne Rigail is a French airline executive best known for serving as Chief Executive Officer of Air France, within the Air France-KLM group. A graduate of Mines ParisTech, she joined Air Inter in 1991, beginning a career that has been entirely built inside the airline industry. Her professional path gave her a deep operational understanding of airport processes, customer service, ground operations, and the passenger experience, all of which became central to her later leadership roles. Over the years, Anne Rigail held a series of progressively senior positions at Air France. In 1996, she was appointed head of Air France Customer Services at Paris-Orly. In 1999, she became head of Passenger and Baggage Connections at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, before moving on to lead customer and baggage products for Ground Operations. In 2005, she was promoted to head of operations at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle hub, and in 2009 she became Vice President of the Paris-CDG hub. These roles placed her at the center of major operational priorities such as punctuality, service reliability, passenger flow management, and airport performance. In 2013, she joined Air France’s Executive Committee as Executive Vice President in-flight services, with responsibility for cabin crew. In 2017, she was appointed Executive Vice President Customer Experience, overseeing ground and in-flight products and services, including lounge design, cabin layout and modernization, and the rollout of onboard Wi‑Fi. This phase of her career established her as a leader focused on customer differentiation and service quality. Anne Rigail was appointed CEO of Air France on 12 December 2018. In that role, she represents a hands-on and operational style of leadership, with strong emphasis on service excellence, transformation, and continuous improvement. Her profile is that of a highly experienced airline executive with uncommon breadth across operations, customer experience, and large-scale organizational management.
