Insider transactions in Sweden
A public register kept by the regulator
Sweden publishes managers' transactions through the supervisor itself. The supplementary MAR act (lag 2016:1306) requires Finansinspektionen (FI) to keep a register of notifications made under Article 19 of the Market Abuse Regulation, declares that register public and instructs FI to publish what filers report to it. The Swedish name is Insynsregistret; FI's English pages call it the PDMR transactions register.
Managers and persons closely associated with them file on FI's website within three business days of the trade, after creating a user profile. FI publishes the data automatically on receipt and does not review it first. A filer's typing error therefore stays visible until the filer submits a revision.
Searching Insynsregistret
Anyone can search the register by issuer, by person, by transaction date or by publication date, and export the results to Excel. Revised notifications carry the status Revised or History, with details behind the status link. The searchable records start on 3 July 2016, the date MAR took effect; FI stores older transactions back to 1995 outside the search.
Threshold and kronor
Reporting starts at EUR 20,000 per calendar year since 4 December 2024, with purchases and sales added together. Filers convert kronor at the Riksbank's daily rate or the ECB reference rate. In November 2024 FI said it would evaluate the new threshold during 2025 and might then change it by regulation. ESMA's list of national changes dated 19 January 2026 does not include Sweden.
How Swedish data appears here
We ingest FI's official CSV export of the register, so the Swedish feed is per-trade. We store amounts in euros to compare markets and show the original SEK figure next to them. Verkställande direktör maps to our CEO bucket, styrelseledamot and styrelsesuppleant to board members. The glossary explains the terms on each filing card, and the methodology page covers how the filings are used.
