Agnès Bertrand serves as Secretary General of Arverne Group, the French listed company focused on geothermal energy, subsurface resource development and local low-carbon energy solutions. Appointed in July 2025, she joined the Group’s executive committee to support its industrial expansion, strengthen governance and help structure the corporate support functions needed for a fast-growing business. In this role, she oversees the legal department, ethics and compliance, audit and risk management, CSR and mission-led company matters, as well as the Board Secretariat. Bertrand brings more than 25 years of experience in the energy sector to Arverne Group, with recognized expertise in public procurement, industrial contracts, complex project structuring, governance and risk management. She began her career in 1998 as a legal counsel within Dalkia’s Eastern regional division, under the broader Group Vivendi and later Veolia Environnement ecosystem. Over more than a decade, she held management positions in the Grand Est region, including Legal Director and regional coordinator for Veolia Environnement’s legal function. Her professional background reflects deep command of legal and contractual structuring in regulated and industrial environments. This experience is highly relevant to Arverne Group, whose development depends on capital-intensive geothermal projects, public-private cooperation and rigorous compliance standards. By bringing her expertise to Arverne, Bertrand contributes to the company’s governance maturity and to the organization required to support its growth ambitions. Beyond her operational responsibilities, she plays a strategic role in cross-functional coordination, decision-process reliability and the execution of the Group’s commercial and industrial objectives. Her profile combines strong legal credentials, sector-specific energy knowledge and senior leadership experience, making her a key figure in the continued scaling of Arverne Group.
