Guillaume Charles is a senior executive at Groupe M6, where he currently holds one of the group’s most strategic roles, overseeing channels and content. He has been a member of the company’s Management Board since February 2023, with responsibility for programming, editorial direction and the broader content agenda across the group’s television assets. He also holds important mandates within the production ecosystem, including Chairman, CEO and director of M6 Films SA, as well as Chairman of C. Productions SA and Studio 89 Productions SAS. He graduated from CentraleSupélec in 1999 and earned an MBA from INSEAD in 2005. Charles began his career in strategic consulting at Arthur D. Little, building a strong analytical foundation in corporate strategy and business development. In 2006, he joined RTL Group as Senior Strategy Executive, before moving to Groupe M6 in 2008 as Director of Strategy and Development. In that role, he developed a broad understanding of growth, portfolio management and competitive positioning. In 2012, he also took on distribution responsibilities, further expanding his expertise in a key area for broadcasters facing fast-changing consumption patterns. In 2015, Charles joined M6 Publicité, the group’s sales house, as Deputy Managing Director in charge of marketing, research and digital. This appointment deepened his experience in audience monetisation, market intelligence and digital transformation. In 2019, he was appointed CEO of M6 programmes, placing him at the center of programming decisions, format development and the strengthening of the group’s channel brands. His career reflects a steady progression from corporate strategy to operational leadership in media, advertising and programming. This combination gives him a particularly strong profile for a listed audiovisual group: strategic discipline, commercial awareness and editorial leadership. Within the Management Board, he plays a key role in shaping the group’s content strategy, supporting the evolution of linear TV in a fragmented market, and enhancing the value of M6’s creative assets across platforms.
