Yann Delabrière is a French business executive widely recognized for his expertise in finance, strategy, and corporate governance. A graduate of the École normale supérieure and the École nationale d’administration, and a mathematics agrégé, he began his career at the Cour des comptes before joining the office of the French Ministry of Foreign Trade. He later held finance leadership roles at Coface and the Printemps group, then joined PSA in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer. In 1998, he became a member of PSA’s Executive Committee, building deep experience in industrial operations, financial discipline, and large-scale organizational leadership. In 2007, Delabrière was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Faurecia, a role he held until 2016, before continuing as Chairman of the Board until 2017. This long tenure strengthened his reputation as a leader able to combine operational execution, financial rigor, and industrial vision. He subsequently became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IDEMIA and also served on the boards of several listed companies, including Cap Gemini and Société Générale, further broadening his governance profile. At Alstom, Yann Delabrière joined the Board of Directors in March 2017. The company highlighted his experience as a senior industrial executive and seasoned board member, and he soon became a key governance figure within the group. He served as Lead Independent Director and Chairman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, roles that placed him at the center of board oversight, succession matters, and compensation policy. During the Siemens-Alstom rapprochement process, he was also proposed for a vice-chairmanship role in the future board, underlining the confidence placed in his judgment and independence. Overall, Delabrière’s career reflects a rare combination of public service, financial leadership, industrial management, and board-level expertise. He is particularly associated with the governance of major listed companies and with the oversight of complex strategic transitions, making him a highly credible profile in the French corporate landscape.
