Véronique Sarlat-Depotte currently holds a senior leadership position at Renault Group as Chief Alliance Transformation Officer. She is also Secretary General of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance and a member of Renault Group’s Leadership Team. Her career is closely associated with purchasing strategy, cross-company cooperation and the transformation of large industrial organizations. She joined Renault in 1989 in the Purchasing Division and has since built a long career at the intersection of supplier management, global sourcing and alliance governance. An engineering graduate of EPF (École Polytechnique Féminine), she has held a wide range of operational and strategic roles at Renault and Nissan in both France and Japan. In 2005, she was appointed Deputy General Manager, Purchasing Strategy at Nissan Motor Limited in Japan, and in 2007 she was promoted to General Manager at the company’s Japan headquarters. She later led vehicle body parts purchasing within Renault-Nissan Purchasing Organization (RNPO), then became Vice President of RNPO Body & Electrical and subsequently Alliance Global Director for that scope. These positions gave her deep expertise in industrial coordination, purchasing performance and the management of complex multinational interfaces. From 2015 onward, her responsibilities expanded to the broader group and alliance level. She became Deputy Managing Director of RNPO and Renault-Nissan Senior Vice President, Purchasing, then in 2016 was appointed Alliance Global Executive Vice President, Purchasing and President of RNPO. When RNPO expanded in 2018 to include Mitsubishi Motors’ purchasing activities and was renamed Alliance Purchasing Organization, she took charge of the new structure, reinforcing her role in aligning procurement across the three manufacturers. Since 2021, her mission has shifted toward coordinating major alliance projects, accelerating operational cooperation and broadening the scope of shared development. Since October 2024, she has also served on the Board of Directors of The Future Is NEUTRAL, Renault Group’s automotive circular-economy subsidiary. Her profile combines purchasing excellence, alliance leadership and strategic transformation at global scale.
