Sophie Bellon is a prominent French business leader whose career is closely tied to Sodexo, the global services group founded in Marseille in 1966 by her father, Pierre Bellon. After joining the family business, she built her career through senior management and strategic oversight roles, eventually becoming a central figure in the company’s governance. Her background reflects the long-term family ownership model that continues to anchor Sodexo through Bellon SA, the reference shareholder. Over the years, Sophie Bellon held key responsibilities in shaping the company’s strategic direction, particularly at Board level, where she helped oversee major transformations. She also served as Sodexo’s Chief Executive Officer during a period of meaningful transition, when the group was adapting its business model, strengthening operational performance and reinforcing the sustainability dimension of its activities. In October 2025, Sodexo announced that Thierry Delaporte would become Group Chief Executive Officer effective November 10, 2025, as part of a governance shift separating the roles of Chairwoman and CEO; Sophie Bellon remained non-executive Chairwoman of the Board. Her expertise spans the governance of large listed companies, oversight of complex international operations, long-term shareholder relations and organizational change in multiservice businesses. During this transition phase, Sodexo continued to strengthen its position as a global leader in services that improve quality of life, operating in 43 countries with nearly 430,000 employees.
