Isabelle Quainon has been Chief Human Resources Officer of Veolia Group since March 1, 2025, and serves on the Executive Committee. She is a seasoned corporate leader whose career has been closely linked to Veolia for more than three decades. After an early professional experience in a recruitment firm, she joined Veolia in 1992 as Executive Training Manager at CGEA, then focused on waste management and transportation. She quickly became involved in the creation of the Institut de l’Environnement Urbain, which later became Campus Veolia, placing her at the heart of the Group’s training and capability-building ecosystem. Her career combines human resources leadership with operational exposure. In 2003, she chose to broaden her perspective by managing a public transport network in the Paris region for three years. That operational assignment gave her first-hand experience of frontline business challenges, team management and public-service delivery. In 2006, she was appointed HR Director for the outer Paris region at Veolia Water Île-de-France (VEDIF), where she contributed to the work that led to the renewal of the SEDIF contract. At the same time, she was responsible for HR coordination across Veolia’s Île-de-France operations. In 2011, she became Director of Training and Skills Development for the Veolia Group, overseeing professional training and the global network of Veolia campuses. In 2016, she was appointed Deputy Human Resources Director for the Group, with responsibility for talent management, executive development, compensation and benefits, and the HR information system. In 2023, she moved to Veolia Water Technologies as Chief Transformation, Engagement and People Officer. Her profile reflects deep expertise in HR transformation, learning and development, talent strategy, reward policy and organizational support. She is particularly associated with the modernization of Veolia’s people agenda and the alignment of human capital priorities with business transformation. Her current role gives her a central position in shaping the Group’s culture, engagement and leadership pipeline, while supporting performance and long-term organizational resilience.
