Estelle Brachlianoff is a leading French executive in the environmental services and ecological transformation sector. Since July 1, 2022, she has served as Chief Executive Officer of Veolia Environnement and as a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Veolia stated in 2025 that the Board would also propose the renewal of her directorship and confirm her as Chief Executive Officer at the Annual General Meeting on April 23, 2026, underscoring the continuity of her leadership and the confidence placed in her strategy. A graduate of École Polytechnique and the École des Ponts et Chaussées, she began her career in the public sector, working in the Val-d’Oise infrastructure department of the Paris metropolitan area and later as an adviser to the Prefect of the Île-de-France region on transport and development. She joined Veolia in 2005 as special adviser to the CEO, then moved through a series of operational leadership roles: Chief Executive Officer of Veolia Environmental Services Cleaning and Multiservices in 2008, of Veolia Environmental Services Île-de-France in 2010, and of Veolia Environmental Services in the UK in 2012. A member of Veolia’s Executive Committee since 2013, she led the UK and Ireland zone from 2013 to 2018 and then served as Deputy CEO of Veolia from September 2018 to June 2022. At the helm of Veolia, she is associated with a management style focused on industrial performance, operational discipline, and international growth. Her background gives her deep expertise across water, waste, energy, and environmental services, as well as in leading large-scale transformations across multiple geographies. Veolia highlights that under her leadership the integration of Suez was successfully completed, while the group strengthened its international expansion and sustained growth trajectory. She has also served on the Supervisory Board of Hermès International since 2019, reflecting recognized governance experience at listed-company level.
