Fabrice Barthélemy is a key governance figure at Tarkett, the French listed company and global leader in flooring and sports surface solutions. He is currently President of the Tarkett Group and leads the Group Executive Committee. He assumed this role after being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Tarkett in January 2019, also serving as Chairman of the Management Board. His career at Tarkett reflects a steady rise and a deep understanding of the company’s business model, markets, and financial priorities. He joined Tarkett in 2008 as Group Chief Financial Officer and quickly became instrumental in shaping the company’s financial structure and supporting its external growth strategy. Tarkett states that he was involved in more than twenty acquisitions over an eight-year period, including major transactions such as Tandus in the United States and Desso in Europe. He also played an important role in the company’s IPO on Euronext, a milestone in Tarkett’s evolution into a global industry leader. In February 2017, Barthélemy was appointed President of the EMEA & LATAM division, a position he held until September 2019. In that capacity, he oversaw two strategically important regions for Tarkett and strengthened his operational leadership across international markets. Before joining Tarkett, he built a strong industrial finance career, starting at Safran as an industrial controller, then joining Valeo in 1995 as a divisional financial controller in the United Kingdom. From 2000 to 2003, he contributed to the turnaround of Valeo’s Lighting division in France, before becoming global CFO for the Electronics and Connectivity Systems activities, and later for the Wiper Systems activities. A graduate of ESCP Europe, Fabrice Barthélemy brings together finance expertise, industrial transformation, international leadership, and performance management. At Tarkett, he has been associated with a strategy focused on profitable growth, organizational agility, and sustainability. Under his leadership, the group has strengthened its positioning around responsible innovation, circular economy practices, and a long-term climate roadmap, aligning the company with rising expectations from customers, employees, and investors.
