Cécile Prévieu holds a central leadership role at ENGIE as Executive Vice President in charge of the GBU Networks, placing her at the core of the Group’s energy infrastructure and regulated network activities. Trained as an engineer, she graduated from École Polytechnique, École nationale des ponts et chaussées, and the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). Her academic background combines technical excellence with public-policy expertise, a profile that has been particularly valuable in the energy sector, where regulation, long-term investment, and public-interest considerations are essential. She began her career in the French state administration, notably at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, where she served as energy adviser to the Minister of Industry and later as transport adviser to the Prime Minister. This early experience gave her a strong understanding of energy policy, infrastructure planning, and the interaction between government and regulated industries. She joined ENGIE in 2010 and gradually moved into senior operational responsibilities. At first, she worked with the Chief Executive Officer in charge of the Group’s Infrastructures division. She was then appointed Director of Asset Management at Storengy, before becoming Chief Executive Officer of Storengy in 2015. As head of Storengy, she helped secure the company’s storage business in France through regulation and drove its decarbonization strategy. Under her leadership, Storengy expanded activities linked to renewable gases such as biomethane, hydrogen, and e-methane, and developed geothermal heating and cooling solutions for cities and eco-districts. These achievements positioned Storengy as a key player in low-carbon gas infrastructure within the broader energy transition. In 2021, she was appointed Executive Vice President in charge of Energy Solutions activities, and on 1 February 2023 she took charge of Networks activities. In this role, she oversees strategic assets that are critical to ENGIE’s transformation and resilience. Her expertise spans regulated utilities, asset strategy, gas storage, network development, and decarbonized energy solutions. She also serves as a board member of GTT and TechnicAtome, underscoring her stature as one of France’s leading executives in energy and infrastructure.
