Douglas R. Prior to that role, from August 2004 through November 2016, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of GAMCO Investors, Inc., where he oversaw all facets of the business, including mutual funds and separate accounts. Jamieson began his career with G.research in 1981 as an Investment Analyst and went on to hold a range of positions during his tenure, building deep experience in equity research, investment operations, and business management. He also serves as President and Chief Operating Officer, and as a Director, of GAMCO Asset Management Inc., GAMCO Investors’ private wealth and institutional asset management subsidiary. His background reflects a combination of executive leadership, investment discipline, and operational oversight across a diversified financial services platform. He is known for a career rooted in research-driven investing and a steady institutional focus, with responsibilities that have spanned portfolio oversight, business development, and corporate leadership. Jamieson holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics and International Relations from Bucknell University.
