Roger Bloxberg is an experienced technology and software executive, best known for his leadership within Claranova and its PlanetArt business. He is a co-founder of Nova Development and joined the group in January 2007 following the acquisition of that company by Avanquest. From there, he helped build and scale PlanetArt, where he became Chief Executive Officer. Claranova describes him as a key contributor to the launch of PlanetArt’s businesses alongside Todd Helfstein, with responsibilities spanning strategy, marketing, and business development. Under his leadership, PlanetArt grew into a portfolio of consumer-facing digital brands and platforms focused on personalized products and e-commerce, including FreePrints, Personal Creations, Simply To Impress, CafePress, Gifts.com, and I See Me!. Within Claranova’s governance structure, Bloxberg also played a broader corporate role. In May 2022, he was co-opted to Claranova’s Board of Directors alongside Eric Gareau, then CEO of Avanquest, as part of an effort to strengthen governance and more closely involve subsidiary leaders in the group’s value-creation strategy. His board mandate was later renewed, before he stepped down from the board in April 2024 while remaining CEO of PlanetArt. That change reflected a clearer distinction between group-level governance and the operational leadership of the PlanetArt division. His career profile is anchored in software, digital publishing, and international growth through brand-building and acquisition-led expansion. He has helped drive the development of PlanetArt as a global e-commerce player, with a strong focus on product innovation, digital marketing efficiency, and customer monetization across multiple geographies. In March 2025, Claranova again confirmed that he would continue as CEO of PlanetArt in the context of a contemplated transaction involving the business, underscoring his central role in the division’s value creation. Overall, Bloxberg’s background combines entrepreneurial experience, operational discipline, and deep knowledge of international digital markets.
