Yannick Bolloré is a key figure in French family-owned capitalism and in the governance of major listed companies, particularly in media, communications and publishing. He is currently Chairman of Vivendi SE’s Supervisory Board, a role he has held for several years, and he also serves on the Board of Directors of Louis Hachette Group. In October 2024, he was additionally appointed Chairman of Canal+’s Supervisory Board and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Havas N.V., underscoring his leading role in the restructuring of the media assets emerging from Vivendi. Yannick Bolloré joined the Bolloré group in 2006 and first built operational experience in communications before expanding into an international leadership role. He joined Havas in 2011 and became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2013. Under his leadership, Havas was transformed into a more integrated group, with a stronger focus on data, creativity and commercial performance. Vivendi also notes that he co-founded the production company WY Productions in 2002, reflecting an early interest in content creation and the audiovisual ecosystem. His career has been marked by a strong ability to lead strategic transformations. At Vivendi, he has championed a two-tier governance model and supported major structural decisions such as the creation of the Vivendi Foundation and, more recently, the group’s split into separately listed entities around Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette Group. That spin-off project was approved by more than 97.5% of shareholders in December 2024, confirming market support for the strategy of simplifying the group structure and highlighting the value of its individual businesses. Yannick Bolloré is widely recognized for his long-term vision, his focus on integrating communications businesses, and his involvement in ESG and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Vivendi states that he is engaged in diversity and gender-equality programs, including the HeForShe initiative. His profile combines entrepreneurial heritage, chief executive experience and board-level stewardship in leading listed groups. He was also named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2008, further strengthening his international profile.
