Julie Guerrand is a French business leader and board director closely associated with Hermès history, as she is a direct descendant of Émile-Maurice Hermès. She has served on the Hermès International Supervisory Board since 2 June 2005 and was also a member of the Audit Committee from its creation on 26 January 2005 until March 2011. Her profile combines deep knowledge of the house’s culture, strong financial expertise, and hands-on experience in corporate development. Hermès states that she held 6,825 shares in full ownership and in registered form at the end of 2024 and that her mandate was scheduled to run through the 2025 annual general meeting, with a current term ending in 2028. She holds a DEUG degree in applied mathematics and social sciences, as well as a master’s degree in Economics and Industrial Strategy from Université Paris IX-Dauphine. Julie Guerrand built her career in finance and investments. From 1998 to 2006, she worked in the Financial Affairs department of Rothschild & Cie, focusing in particular on mergers and acquisitions advisory work. From 2007 to 2011, she served as Investment Director within the investment team of Paris Orléans, the listed holding company controlled by the Rothschild family. She later returned to Hermès as Director of Corporate Development, then became Deputy Managing Director – Finance and Organisation of the Hermès Cuirs Précieux division. Hermès also notes that she has been certified as a company director (ASC France) by IFA and Sciences Po since 2014. At Hermès, Julie Guerrand brings recognised expertise in corporate finance, M&A, governance, and strategic development. Her career illustrates a rare combination of execution experience in demanding financial environments and long-term involvement in the governance of a listed family-controlled group. Within the Supervisory Board, she contributes to discussions on strategy, financial discipline, brand development, and the long-term resilience of the Hermès model. Her role is also highly symbolic, reflecting the continuity between family ownership, the company’s heritage, and the governance standards expected of a global luxury group.
