Helman le Pas de Sécheval is a French senior executive known for a career spanning finance, market regulation, corporate governance and group leadership. Born in 1966, he is a graduate of École normale supérieure, holds a PhD in Physical Sciences, and is an engineering graduate from École des Mines. He began his career in 1991 at Banexi as a project manager in the financial engineering department. He then moved into public service from 1993 to 1997 as deputy inspector-general of the underground quarries of Paris, before joining the French securities regulator, the COB, where he was appointed deputy head of the Corporate Finance Department and later became head of that department in 1998. He subsequently entered the insurance sector and served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Groupama from 2001 to 2009, helping oversee financial management and group-level performance. From 2010 to 2011, he was CEO of Groupama Centre-Atlantique, expanding his responsibilities into operational leadership and regional management. In September 2012, he joined Veolia Environnement as General Secretary and also as Secretary of the Board of Directors. He is a member of the Executive Committee and the Management Committee, playing a key role in governance, legal affairs, compliance and the institutional management of the listed group. At Veolia, Helman le Pas de Sécheval has held a strategic position at the heart of corporate governance and decision support. His expertise combines finance, securities regulation, legal oversight, corporate structuring and interactions with supervisory bodies.
