Guillaume de Seynes is one of the long-standing senior leaders at Hermès International, where he currently serves as Executive Vice-President Manufacturing Division and Equity Investments, and as a member of the Group’s Executive Committee. Hermès governance documents show that he joined the Executive Committee in 2005 and has held his current executive responsibility since 2011. His career within Hermès reflects a steady rise through key operational and strategic roles, with a strong focus on manufacturing, upstream industrial activities, and equity investments. A graduate in law and political science in Paris and an ESSEC alumnus, de Seynes built his career around the luxury industry, craftsmanship, and house management. At Hermès, he first held commercial positions, notably at La Montre Hermès, where he served as Sales and Marketing Director before becoming Managing Director of La Montre Hermès in 1999. In 2004, he was appointed Managing Director of the Hermès Sellier métiers, and in 2006 he became Deputy Managing Director of Hermès International. Since 2007, he has also chaired John Lobb, underscoring his long-standing involvement in managing highly distinctive, craft-driven brands. His responsibilities at Hermès are closely aligned with the Group’s model of industrial control, quality excellence, and long-term stewardship of know-how. Through his leadership of the Manufacturing Division, he plays a key role in securing supply chains, developing industrial capacity, and supporting the Group’s vertically integrated production base. Through the Equity Investments remit, he also contributes to the oversight of strategic holdings and partnerships consistent with Hermès’ disciplined, long-term capital allocation approach. De Seynes has also been active in the wider French luxury and fashion ecosystem. He chaired Comité Colbert from 2016 and has held leadership roles in the Chambre syndicale du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode, as well as in sectoral strategic bodies for fashion and luxury. His profile combines industrial leadership, respect for artisanal heritage, and deep sector expertise, making him a central executive figure in one of France’s most emblematic listed houses.
