Gilles Boisseau holds an important role in the operational leadership of Mersen, a listed industrial group specializing in electrical power and advanced materials. Since January 1, 2026, he has served as Executive Vice President of Mersen International, a newly created leadership role designed to strengthen global coordination and support the Group’s growth strategy. Before that, he led Mersen’s Electrical Power segment from May 2015 onward, after joining the Group in 2015. Mersen says this new assignment leverages his international experience and his deep knowledge of the Group’s products, markets, and growth drivers. Prior to Mersen, Boisseau built a long industrial and international career. He started in 1988 at IBM France, then moved to Thomson LCD before joining General Electric in 1993, where he spent twelve years. He later held leadership roles at Solectron and then at Areva T&D from 2007 as Vice President, Secondary Distribution. In 2010, he joined Schneider Electric as Senior Vice President, Secondary Distribution, a position he held until 2012. From 2013 to 2015, he was Managing Director of Ensival Moret. This background gave him broad exposure to industrial transformation, electrical distribution, and international business management. At Mersen, he is credited with helping expand the Electrical Power segment through acquisitions and organic growth while improving profitability. His career reflects a consistent focus on industrial execution, operational discipline, and international scale-up. Boisseau is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris and holds a DEA in Metallurgy from Université Paris VI. That mix of technical training and senior operating experience has made him a key figure in Mersen’s executive leadership.
