Alexandre Arnault is a French luxury executive whose career has been closely tied to the LVMH ecosystem. He studied at Télécom ParisTech and later earned a master’s degree from École polytechnique, building a background that combines technology, business rigor and brand sensibility. Early in his career, he moved into luxury and quickly developed a reputation for a hands-on, modern management style, with a strong interest in product positioning, digital transformation and international growth. In 2017, he became chief executive of RIMOWA, following LVMH’s acquisition of the luggage brand, an operation he had helped initiate and oversee. At RIMOWA, he played a central role in strengthening the maison’s premium image and expanding its global relevance. His tenure is widely seen as a period of brand elevation, in which heritage craftsmanship was paired with a sharper commercial strategy and a more contemporary consumer appeal. His responsibilities later broadened within LVMH, reflecting the group’s confidence in his ability to manage strategic assets. In 2019, he joined Carrefour’s board of directors, adding listed-company governance experience outside the luxury sector. He resigned from that board in 2021 amid changes in the shareholder structure and board composition. That board role showed his exposure to governance, oversight and long-term transformation issues in a large public company. Most recently, in November 2024, Alexandre Arnault was appointed Deputy CEO of Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s wines and spirits division. The move placed him at the center of one of the group’s most strategic businesses, overseeing iconic brands such as Hennessy and Moët. His profile is especially associated with brand building, international expansion, acquisition integration and the ability to modernize legacy houses without diluting their identity.
