Yves Ruget is a French corporate executive best known for his leadership roles within Thermador Groupe, a listed industrial and specialized distribution group. Born in 1971, he holds an engineering degree in mechanical systems from the University of Technology of Compiègne and later earned an MBA from emlyon business school. This combination of technical and managerial training has shaped a career focused on commercial growth, operational leadership, and the management of decentralized business units. Ruget began his career in sales and business development. From 1991 to 1998, he worked as Sales Manager for a subsidiary of Descours et Cabaud, a major player in industrial supply. He then joined Forsym Group, where he spent 1998 to 2005 in the development department. From 2005 to 2012, he served in the sales division of JBT Group. These roles gave him broad experience in B2B distribution, customer relations, sales strategy, and growth execution across industrial markets. He joined Thermador in 2012 as Commercial and Development Director of the Thermador subsidiary. In 2014, he was appointed CEO of Thermador. In this position, he oversees one of the group’s key businesses, which operates in the distribution of technical equipment for building, heating, plumbing, fluid transfer, and related applications. His leadership is embedded in Thermador Groupe’s governance model, which gives substantial autonomy to subsidiaries while providing financial, legal, IT, real-estate, and extra-financial support at group level. Beyond his role at Thermador, Yves Ruget holds broader governance responsibilities within Thermador Groupe. He is Chairman of several subsidiaries, including Aello, Odrea, FGinox, Isocel, Jetly, Opaline, PBtub, Sectoriel, Sferaco, Syveco, and Thermador. He also takes part in sustainability-related discussions through the group’s sustainable development committee, serves as a board member of Middlenext, and sits on the advisory committee of Lyon Place Financière. Overall, his profile reflects strong expertise in commercial leadership, subsidiary management, and listed-company governance.
