Vincent Stoquart has served since 1 September 2024 as President, Refining & Chemicals at TotalEnergies SE and as a member of the company’s Executive Committee. His appointment marked a new stage in a long internal career that began in 1998 and was built across industrial operations, site leadership, global management roles and strategic transformation assignments within the group. Stoquart holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium, along with additional training in aeronautics and aerospace at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. He started his TotalEnergies career in the engineering department of the Feluy polymers plant in Belgium, then moved through several production management roles from 2002 to 2009. In 2010, he was appointed human resources and communications manager for the same site, demonstrating an ability to combine technical expertise with people management and internal communication. He later took on broader industrial leadership responsibilities, including serving as plant manager of the Flanders site in Dunkirk, France, from 2012 to 2017. After that, he joined TotalEnergies Global Services and became President of TotalEnergies Learning Solutions, adding organizational development and training leadership to his profile. His career then moved further into the company’s refining and chemicals activities, where he served as Senior Vice President Polymers before being appointed Senior Vice President Refining and Petrochemicals Americas from 2019 to 2021. During that period, he also acted as TotalEnergies’ country chair in the United States, based in Houston, Texas, which gave him direct responsibility for a major international business environment. From 2021 until his 2024 appointment, Stoquart was Senior Vice President Renewables. In that role, he helped steer TotalEnergies’ expansion in low-carbon power, including offshore wind, solar and storage, while supporting the group’s broader integrated energy strategy. His move to Refining & Chemicals reflects both his deep operational background and TotalEnergies’ emphasis on decarbonizing complex industrial assets while maintaining performance and competitiveness.
