Namita Shah is a French-Indian executive at TotalEnergies, where she serves as President of OneTech and as a member of the Executive Committee. She is also Chairwoman of the TotalEnergies Foundation. In her current role, she sits at the center of the group’s technical, engineering, and innovation agenda, with cross-functional responsibility for areas such as industrial performance, operational efficiency, digital transformation, and technical support for low-carbon projects. Her career is notable for a steady progression through legal, international business development, operational leadership, and group-level transformation roles. Before joining TotalEnergies, Namita Shah built her legal foundation as an associate attorney at Shearman & Sterling in New York, where she spent eight years advising on complex transactions, including financing for pipelines and power plants. She joined TotalEnergies in 2002 as legal counsel in the Exploration & Production M&A team. In 2008, she moved to the New Business team and led business development in Australia and Malaysia until 2011, when she was appointed General Manager of TotalEnergies EP Myanmar. In 2014, she became Secretary General of the Exploration-Production division, and in 2016 she was named Executive Vice President, People & Social Responsibility, while also joining the Executive Committee. In 2021, she was appointed President of OneTech, the group’s technical and expert organization. A graduate of the University of Delhi and the New York University School of Law, Shah has developed a distinctive profile that combines legal expertise, strategic business judgment, and industrial leadership. Her career path reflects a move from complex legal structuring to business expansion, then to senior leadership roles at the heart of the company’s transformation.
