About Frédéric CREPIN
Frédéric Crépin is a senior legal and governance executive whose career has been closely associated with Vivendi. Admitted to the bars of Paris and New York, he began his professional life at leading law firms: first at Siméon & Associés in Paris from 1995 to 1998, and then at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York from 1999 to 2000. This French-American legal background, combined with an academic profile spanning Sciences Po, Paris II Panthéon-Assas, Paris Nanterre and New York University School of Law, gave him strong expertise in corporate law, employment law and international legal matters.
He joined Vivendi Universal in July 2000 as a special advisor to the General Secretariat and Legal Department. In August 2005, he was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of the legal department of Vivendi, then became Group General Counsel in June 2014. He joined Vivendi’s Management Board on 10 November 2015. In September 2015, he also became General Counsel of Groupe Canal+, a role he held until 2021. In October 2018, he additionally took on the role of Group Chief Compliance Officer, underscoring his central contribution to ethics, risk management and internal controls.
At Vivendi, Crépin has played a key role in legal oversight of strategic transactions, governance matters and compliance frameworks. His position within the Group Secretariat places him at the center of corporate decision-making, shareholder-related processes and regulatory supervision. He has also held several board-level roles within Vivendi’s ecosystem, including as a director of Gameloft SE and chairman of the board of Soreviv. His career reflects deep specialization in the legal structuring of listed companies, with a clear focus on compliance, governance and securing complex corporate operations.
