About François Laroze

François Laroze is the Chief Financial Officer of Vivendi SE and a member of the Management Board, a role he has held since June 24, 2022. He also serves as Chief Financial Officer of Havas, a position he has held since 2011. A graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), he has built his career within the Bolloré group ecosystem and in listed-company finance, developing strong expertise in corporate finance, management control, governance and performance steering. According to Vivendi’s official biography, he joined the Bolloré Group in 1987, starting a long career within a large industrial and media platform. Over the years, he held a series of senior financial and corporate roles, including Finance Director of the shipping company Delmas, Corporate Secretary of Havas Media France, and Group Controller of the Bolloré Group. This progression reflects deep operational knowledge of financial management, legal coordination and organizational oversight in complex groups. His appointment as Chief Financial Officer of Havas Group in 2011 confirmed his status as one of the key financial executives in the Vivendi-Bolloré sphere. His later move to Vivendi’s Management Board in 2022 came as part of a new governance structure and during a period of significant strategic change for the company. Since then, he has been closely involved in major corporate discussions, including group restructuring, separation projects and value creation for shareholders. In that capacity, he sits at the center of decisions related to capital structure, resource allocation and financial discipline. He also holds direct responsibilities in several group entities, including Group Vivendi Africa, Compagnie Financière du 42 avenue de Friedland and L’Expansion Scientifique Française, reinforcing his central role in Vivendi’s governance framework.
