Christian Labeyrie is one of the most enduring financial leaders within VINCI, where he currently serves as Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer. Born in 1956, he graduated from HEC business school and holds accounting qualifications. His career has been built on deep expertise in corporate finance, treasury, management control and financial operations. He began his professional path in 1980 at Crédit Lyonnais in Paris, working in the bank’s branch network. In 1984, he moved to Schlumberger, where he held several financial roles, including assignments in audit and later as a division controller in the oilfield services business. He then joined Rhône-Poulenc Santé as head of the treasury and financing department, strengthening his reputation in funding strategy and balance-sheet management. Labeyrie joined VINCI in 1990 as head of management control for the holding company. In 1993, he was promoted to Deputy Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for financial transactions as well as accounting and tax functions. His role became even more strategic when he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of VINCI in January 1999, a position he has held for more than two decades. In 2006, he was named Executive Vice-President of VINCI, confirming both his influence in corporate governance and his direct involvement in major strategic decisions. At VINCI, Christian Labeyrie has played a central role in supporting the group’s international growth while maintaining a disciplined financial profile appreciated by capital markets. His expertise spans debt management, project financing, investor relations, treasury policy and complex financial structuring. He has also been associated with broader strategic reflection within the group, including operational synergies, environmental policy and forward-looking initiatives. His long tenure in a key leadership position reflects strong execution capability, long-term financial vision and an intimate understanding of VINCI’s business model across construction and concessions. Quiet but highly influential, he embodies financial continuity, rigor and credibility within one of France’s leading listed companies.
