About Thierry LESCURE
Thierry Lescure serves as a director of Groupe SEB, where he represents the founding family and contributes to the group’s strategic governance. First appointed in 2019, his term runs until the Annual General Meeting in 2027. His profile is closely tied to the industrial and entrepreneurial heritage of SEB, while also bringing a strong focus on digital transformation, finance, and the development of new growth drivers. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Law and Taxation from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University, a Master of Business Administration from IAE Paris, and additional specialist training in Investment Strategies and Portfolio Management at the Wharton School and in Advanced Asset Management at INSEAD. This background gives him a robust academic foundation combining legal, financial, and strategic disciplines. After a period of cooperation in London at Tefal UK, he joined Yahoo France in 2001, first as head of the Yahoo Finance website and later as manager of the e-commerce division. This early stage of his career allowed him to build deep expertise in digital business models, online audiences, and revenue generation. In 2004, he moved to Yahoo Europe, where he was responsible for Yahoo Auto. He left the company in 2006 to lead the digital transformation of Reed Business Information, part of the Reed Elsevier group, with the objective of creating new sources of growth in France and across Europe. He then supported the development of start-ups before joining Premium Assets SA, a Geneva-based family office, in 2016 as Senior Asset Manager responsible for client asset management. Beyond SEB, Thierry Lescure is also a member of the advisory board of FCL Investissements and a member of the consultative committee of 50 Partners. His career reflects a distinctive combination of family-business governance and hands-on experience in digital and financial environments. At SEB, this positioning likely enables him to contribute a long-term perspective on transformation, capital allocation, and sustainable value creation.
