Stéphane Estryn is the Mergers & Acquisitions Director at Publicis Groupe, which he joined in 2004. In this role, he oversees acquisitions, divestments, equity partnerships, joint ventures and minority investments for the group. The position is highly strategic within one of the world’s leading communications companies, where inorganic growth is a major lever for portfolio transformation and international expansion. A graduate of HEC Paris, Stéphane Estryn began his career in corporate finance and investment banking. He first worked at NetsCapital in Paris before joining Crédit Agricole Indosuez Emerging Markets in London. Those early roles helped him build strong expertise in transaction structuring, capital raising and M&A advisory in international settings. Since joining Publicis Groupe, he has become a key figure in the company’s active acquisition strategy. Together with his team, he manages roughly fifteen transactions a year, ranging from bolt-on acquisitions to more transformative deals. His remit spans a broad range of geographies, including North and South America, Western and Eastern Europe, China, India, South Africa and Australia. This global scope reflects a strong ability to execute complex transactions across very different regulatory, business and cultural environments. Estryn is particularly recognized for his expertise in post-deal integration, value creation and the alignment of M&A with broader operational transformation. He also serves as Vice-President of the French M&A Association and sits on the Strategic Committee of Deloitte’s M&A Lab. His work has been recognized with the M&A Director of the Year award at the Leaders de la Finance awards in both 2016 and 2020. In short, Stéphane Estryn occupies a pivotal role in Publicis Groupe’s development strategy, at the intersection of finance, corporate strategy and international execution.
