Sascha Bibert is a German-born finance executive known for his expertise in corporate finance, capital discipline, and business transformation within listed industrial and energy companies. Since April 19, 2022, he has served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Vallourec and a member of the company’s Executive Committee. Vallourec is a global leader in premium tubular solutions for the energy sector and other demanding industrial applications. His appointment came at a pivotal moment as the group continued strengthening its financial structure after its 2021 restructuring. Before joining Vallourec, Bibert was Chief Financial Officer of Uniper Group, one of Europe’s major publicly listed electricity producers and energy traders, with growing positions in renewables and hydrogen. That role gave him deep experience in financing strategy, risk management, balance-sheet optimization, and steering large industrial assets through volatile market conditions. Prior to Uniper, he spent five years as CFO of Enerjisa in Turkey, where he supported strong growth and helped take the business public after its split into upstream and downstream entities. From 2009 to 2014, he held several senior management roles within E.ON, including Senior Vice President for Group Accounting and Controlling and Head of Investor Relations. He also served on the board of Energy from Waste, a company backed by private equity firm EQT. Earlier in his career, he worked as an equity portfolio manager and buy-side analyst, including five years with Allianz Global Investors and three years with Munich Re, where he was responsible for investor and rating agency relations. Bibert holds a degree from the International School of Management and is both a CFA charterholder and a Certified Credit Analyst. At Vallourec, he has been associated with a finance agenda focused on reinforcing the group’s financial footing, improving capital allocation, and supporting the execution of its industrial strategy. His profile combines investor-oriented thinking, transactional discipline, and operational finance leadership.
