Sara Lucas is a Franco-British executive with more than 30 years of experience in real estate, asset management and investment advisory. She has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE since May 11, 2023 and also serves on the Audit Committee. In this role, she contributes to the governance of one of Europe’s leading commercial real estate groups, with responsibilities that are particularly relevant to financial oversight, internal controls and the quality of ESG and financial reporting. Prior to joining URW, Sara Lucas served as CEO of Grosvenor Property Europe from 2019 through year-end 2023. She is now a consultant for Europe at Grosvenor and, since April 2024, President of the French entity. She previously led Grosvenor’s European portfolio management activities. Lucas joined Grosvenor in 2011, first at Grosvenor Fund Management as Head of Portfolio Management, then as Managing Director from 2015 to 2017, before joining the Grosvenor Europe Executive Committee in 2017. Her earlier career gave her a broad international foundation across property advisory and real estate finance. She began at DTZ Debenham Thorpe in the UK, moved to Weatherall Green & Smith in France, and later held several positions at Savills Plc in France. From 2005 to 2011, she was Director of Real Estate Finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Paris, strengthening her expertise at the intersection of property markets, capital allocation and structured finance. She holds a BSc Hons in Land Management (Real Estate) from the University of Reading. Over the course of her career, Lucas has developed a reputation for combining strategic leadership with deep market knowledge, governance discipline and a strong understanding of long-term value creation. At URW, her background is especially valuable in board-level discussions on financial resilience, portfolio strategy, stakeholder alignment and sustainability reporting.
