Pierre Coppey is one of the most prominent senior executives at VINCI, where he currently serves as Executive Vice President of the Group and Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes. Born in 1963, he graduated from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Strasbourg and ENSPTT, and also studied journalism and political science. Before joining VINCI, he began his career at La Poste, working in internal and corporate communications. He joined the VINCI Group in 1992, initially in communication roles, and progressively expanded his scope to broader management responsibilities. He became head of corporate communications for the SGE Group in 1996, then joined VINCI’s Executive Committee in 2001 with responsibilities spanning communications, human resources, and synergies. In 2006, he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of VINCI, and at the end of 2007 he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cofiroute. In 2009, he was named Chairman of VINCI Autoroutes, the entity bringing together ASF, Cofiroute, Escota and Arcour. From April 2014 to June 2016, he served as Chief Operating Officer of VINCI and Chairman of VINCI Concessions, underscoring his central role in the Group’s concession businesses and infrastructure strategy.
