Jean-Luc Biamonti is a seasoned French corporate leader whose career combines investment banking, luxury and consumer goods exposure, and long-term board governance experience. He holds an ESSEC degree and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He started his professional journey at Nestlé in 1979 before moving into investment banking, where he successively worked for The First Boston Corporation, Wasserstein Perella, and Crédit Lyonnais Securities. In 1993, he joined Goldman Sachs, where he spent 16 years and held senior responsibilities over investment banking activities in France and Belgium, as well as the retail and consumer goods sectors in Europe. He also became a partner at the firm, underlining the breadth of his international financial experience. After leaving Goldman Sachs, he founded Calcium Capital in 2012 and serves as Chairman of its Strategic Committee, reflecting his continued focus on investment and capital allocation.
