Jacques Stern is a French business leader widely recognized for a career built at the highest levels of international listed companies, with particularly strong expertise in finance, digital transformation and corporate governance. He has served as an independent director of Gecina since February 17, 2022, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee and is also a member of the Strategic and Investment Committee. In these roles, he contributes to financial oversight, risk supervision and the review of the group’s major strategic directions. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1988 as an auditor before joining Accor in 1992. During his time at the hospitality and services group, he held several senior management positions, including Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. This period gave him deep experience in financial steering, operational performance and the execution of large-scale corporate strategies. From 2010 to 2015, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Edenred, where he helped guide the company’s development in transactional services and digital solutions. Since 2015, he has held top executive responsibilities at Global Blue, first as President & CEO and then as Chief Executive Officer until 2025, before becoming President of Shift4 International & Global Blue following Shift4’s acquisition of Global Blue. At Gecina, Stern’s background brings a strong combination of financial discipline, listed-company governance experience and strategic perspective. His expertise supports the board in reviewing financial reporting, internal controls, risk management and investment priorities. A graduate of the École Supérieure de Commerce de Lille, he represents the profile of an experienced governance professional capable of operating in complex, international and transformation-driven environments.
