Shawn Henry is currently Executive Advisor to the CEO at CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc., where he is one of the company’s longest-tenured executive leaders. He joined CrowdStrike in 2012 after retiring from the FBI’s Senior Executive Service. Prior to his current advisory role, he served as Chief Security Officer at CrowdStrike, overseeing the company’s full security function, including information security, business continuity and resiliency, risk reduction programs, and the physical security of global facilities, executive protection, and corporate events. He also played a key role in building CrowdStrike’s security practice and its widely recognized incident response and professional services organization. That work helped establish the company’s reputation as a trusted cybersecurity operator and service partner for enterprises facing sophisticated threats. Henry’s leadership philosophy has been closely associated with CrowdStrike’s “One team. One Fight.” culture, which emphasizes coordination, mission focus, and resilience across a fast-growing global workforce. Before joining CrowdStrike, Henry spent 24 years at the FBI, where he rose to Executive Assistant Director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch. In that role, he oversaw a broad range of investigative operations, including global criminal and cyber investigations, international operations, and the FBI’s critical incident response to major investigations and disasters. He also helped establish the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force, reflecting his long-standing influence on U.S. cyber capability and interagency coordination. Henry’s career spans public-sector national security leadership and private-sector operational security, giving him deep expertise in cyber defense, crisis management, organizational risk, and executive governance. He is widely regarded for translating government-level investigative and response experience into practical security leadership within a publicly traded technology company.
