Gilles Bogaert is a seasoned French executive in the wines and spirits industry whose career has been built almost entirely within Pernod Ricard. He joined the Group in 1995 as an Internal Auditor after starting his professional path at Arthur Andersen in Paris. From the outset, he developed a strong international profile, taking on finance and general management responsibilities across Latin America, the Group headquarters, and several operating companies. He was appointed Finance Director of Pernod Ricard Argentina in 1998, then Finance Director for Central & South America in 2002. In 2003, he moved to the Group headquarters as Director of Audit and Development, a role in which he was closely involved in major external growth transactions, including the acquisitions of Allied Domecq and Absolut. In 2008, Gilles Bogaert became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard Brazil, before being appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Finance and Operations, in July 2009. He held this position until 2018, during which he played a central role in financial discipline, capital allocation, and global operational steering. In July 2018, he was named Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard EMEA/LATAM, a responsibility he retained until August 2023. In that role, he oversaw key markets spanning Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, contributing to commercial performance and regional organization. Since September 2023, he has served as Executive Vice-President, Global Markets. As a member of the Executive Committee, he is now one of the Group’s key leaders worldwide. His career reflects a rare combination of audit expertise, finance, M&A exposure, governance, regional leadership, and large-scale strategic execution. He is closely associated with Pernod Ricard’s international expansion, the strengthening of its emerging-market footprint, and a management style grounded in financial rigor and long-term growth.
