Esther Wick serves as Group General Counsel and Board Secretary at Société BIC, where she is also a member of the Executive Committee. In that role, she sits at the heart of the company’s governance framework and supports a global consumer-goods group known for stationery, lighters and shavers. BIC’s governance materials indicate that she joined the company in 2022 and that she is French-Swiss-American. Wick brings a long international legal career to BIC. She began as an associate at Salans in 1996, then, after being admitted to the New York bar, worked at Epstein Becker & Green, P.C. from 2000 to 2003. She subsequently joined Pfizer in New York, where she spent more than a decade and rose to Assistant General Counsel and Regional Legal Lead for Emerging Markets Europe. In 2014, she moved to Lyon to become Executive Director General Counsel at Sanofi Pasteur MSD. In 2017, she joined bioMérieux as Executive Vice-President, General Counsel, Legal, IP, Ethics and Compliance. This progression shows deep expertise across corporate law, IP, compliance, ethics, and international legal management. At BIC, her remit is strategically important: she helps secure the legal architecture of the group, contributes to board-level governance, and supports decision-making in a listed-company environment where compliance and risk management are critical. As Board Secretary, she also plays a key role in ensuring orderly board processes, documentation and coordination. Her background in both listed and family-owned companies gives her a strong understanding of governance standards, stakeholder expectations and the legal disciplines needed to support long-term performance.
