Edouard Neviaski is a French energy executive known for his deep expertise in commodities markets, energy trading, and asset optimization. A graduate of ENSTA, he began his career in 1989 at Société Générale in commodities markets, where he held a series of progressively senior roles spanning energy derivatives, energy trading, and commodities markets for the Americas. This early experience gave him a strong command of market mechanics, risk management, hedging instruments, and the operational realities of large-scale trading businesses. In 2001, he was appointed CEO of Gaselys, the energy trading joint venture created by Gaz de France and Société Générale, marking his first major leadership role at the intersection of banking and energy. From 2006 to 2012, he served as Global Head of Commodities Markets at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, before joining GDF SUEZ Trading in 2012 as Chief Executive Officer. That role placed him at the center of power and gas optimization, supply strategy, and portfolio management across European energy markets. In 2015, he became Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Global Energy Management, where he was responsible for developing the group’s trading and optimization capabilities and supporting customers on the path toward lower-carbon energy solutions. In 2022, he took the leadership of ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales, combining energy management and B2B supply activities, while also being appointed Vice President for Battery Energy Storage Systems to help structure ENGIE’s battery storage development. Since February 1, 2025, he has served as Executive Vice President in charge of ENGIE’s Supply & Energy Management GBU. His career reflects a rare combination of trading discipline, portfolio management expertise, and strategic execution in energy transition topics, especially flexible assets, storage, and greener industrial solutions.
