Dominique Pélabon is a seasoned executive in contract catering and business services, with a career built through senior operational and leadership roles in major groups. He began his career in 1976 at Sodexo, where he held several field-based positions, including sales and regional management responsibilities. He later moved into broader leadership roles, serving as Regional Director, then Managing Director of Benelux, and subsequently Managing Director of Sodexo’s schools and universities business. This early career phase gave him a strong grounding in service operations, customer management, and multi-site team leadership. In 1987, he joined Compagnie Plastic Omnium, where he became General Manager of the Environment business through Plastic Omnium Services and President of Compagnie Signature, a company specialized in road signs and road safety. Over the next fifteen years, he contributed to the development of the group’s businesses across Europe, the United States, South America, and Asia, while also serving on the management committee. This industrial experience strengthened his expertise in operational structuring, process industrialization, and international expansion. In 2001, Dominique Pélabon joined Elior to lead the Education and Healthcare businesses. In 2005, he also became Managing Director of the group’s international contract catering operations. In these roles, he supported both organic growth and external expansion, while helping rationalize meal production in central kitchens and within the healthcare segment. His contribution at Elior reflects a clear focus on operational efficiency, service quality, and scalable industrial processes in large catering environments. He remained a member of Elior’s Executive Committee until his retirement in 2016 and continues to serve as a director of the group, while also working as a consultant.
