Corine de Bilbao is a French business leader with extensive international experience across industry, energy, and technology. She is currently President of Microsoft France, a role she has held since July 2021, and she also serves as an independent director of Vallourec, the French listed industrial group, where she has been a board member since July 2021. At Vallourec, she contributes to governance oversight, strategic thinking, performance discipline, and the company’s long-term value creation agenda. Her profile brings a strong combination of industrial know-how, digital transformation expertise, and international perspective to the board. Before joining Microsoft France, Corine de Bilbao led Segula Technologies’ international division from 2019 onward. Segula is an engineering company active in multiple countries and serving demanding sectors such as automotive, aerospace, energy, defense, and rail. In that role, she was responsible for international expansion and for research and innovation activities, helping the company strengthen its technological capabilities and global footprint. This appointment followed a long and distinguished career at General Electric, where she spent 28 years in senior management positions across healthcare, energy, and oil and gas. At GE, she held a number of leadership roles both in France and internationally. Most notably, she served as President of GE in France from 2016 to 2019. In that capacity, she worked to accelerate the development of French activities abroad and supported their digital transformation, with the ambition of positioning France as a European center of expertise. Her GE experience gave her deep exposure to complex industrial operations, strategic portfolio management, and large-scale organizational change. Corine de Bilbao is also recognized for her commitment to diversity, inclusion, and the digital ecosystem. She graduated from Sciences Po Bordeaux and holds an MBA from the MAI Institute of Purchase Management. Her career combines strategic leadership, industrial execution, and transformation capability, making her a highly relevant independent director for Vallourec as the group navigates competitiveness, innovation, and energy transition challenges.
