Benoît de Ruffray is a leading French corporate executive in the construction, infrastructure and concessions sectors. Born in 1966, he graduated from École Polytechnique and École nationale des ponts et chaussées, and holds a master’s degree from Imperial College London. He began his career in 1990 at Bouygues, where he built strong operational and international experience on major construction projects. He led Dragages Hong Kong from 2003 to 2007 and was then appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bouygues Bâtiment International in 2008. In 2015, he joined Soletanche Freyssinet, a Vinci Group company, as Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eiffage on 18 January 2016. Since then, he has been at the helm of one of France’s major construction and infrastructure groups, active in construction, civil engineering, energy, concessions and transport infrastructure. At Eiffage, Benoît de Ruffray has steered a strategy focused on operational performance, environmental transition and long-term value creation. He has strongly promoted the group’s low-carbon transformation, construction innovation and the development of solutions with a reduced environmental footprint, as illustrated by emblematic projects such as the Hypérion timber tower in Bordeaux. He has also stood out for his commitment to biodiversity, corporate social responsibility and stakeholder engagement. Alongside his Eiffage responsibilities, he has chaired the board of École des Ponts ParisTech since March 2018 and leads the Eiffage Foundation, reinforcing his role as an advocate for industrial expertise, engineering excellence and the group’s social commitment.
