GROUPE OKWIND is a French listed company on Euronext Growth Paris (ISIN FR0013439627, ticker ALOKW) specialized in the design, manufacture and commercialization of smart energy generation and management systems dedicated to self-consumption. Founded in 2009 by Louis Maurice, who remains Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, the company was built around a clear niche within the energy transition: enabling professionals, local authorities and, to a lesser extent, households to produce renewable electricity locally and optimize how that power is used. At the time of its July 2022 IPO, the company highlighted more than 2,000 installations across France, a workforce of 131 employees and consolidated revenue of €25.2 million in 2021. OKWIND’s business model is based on two complementary pillars. The first is renewable power generation through connected photovoltaic trackers designed to maximize solar output. The second is energy management, supervision and control solutions that help customers optimize production, storage and consumption in real time. This integrated approach is central to the group’s value proposition, with a focus on energy autonomy, lower electricity costs and decarbonization. Over time, the company has also broadened its portfolio to include fixed photovoltaic systems, storage solutions and charging infrastructure, together with related services. In 2025, the launch of AutonoMEA marked an important step forward, combining photovoltaic production, energy storage and intelligent supervision into a modular solution aimed at securing customers’ energy costs in a volatile electricity environment. On the industrial front, the group began construction in 2025 of a new production site in Étrelles, Brittany, designed as a manufacturing, innovation and demonstration hub. The facility is expected to offer up to three times the capacity of the current site and will also host the company headquarters, supporting future growth and operational scaling. However, OKWIND operated in a more difficult market environment in 2025, characterized by lower electricity prices, reduced public support mechanisms and stronger competition, which led to a sharp decline in annual revenue to €23.8 million. In response, management launched a transformation plan to refocus the business on its historical higher-value-added core activities, organized around two new divisions: “OKWIND Constructeur” and “OKWIND Services”. The company’s geographic footprint remains primarily French, although international development has been part of its strategy. Notable milestones include its French Tech 120 label and strategic partnerships, such as the collaboration with OSMOSUN in solar-powered water treatment and desalination. These initiatives reflect OKWIND’s ambition to build an ecosystem around low-carbon energy uses and to position itself as a reference player in distributed self-consumption solutions.
