About Véronique Bédague

Véronique Bédague is the Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Nexity, one of France’s leading real estate groups. She became CEO in 2021 and was appointed Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2023, as part of a governance unification. Since September 2024, she has also chaired the Group Executive Committee responsible for steering Nexity’s operational transformation. She holds degrees from Sciences Po Paris and ESSEC, and is a former student of the French National School of Administration (ENA). Before joining Nexity, Bédague built a senior public-sector career. She worked at the International Monetary Fund from 1994, then held several high-level positions in the French administration, including roles at the Ministry of the Economy and Finance, the City of Paris, and Matignon (the Prime Minister’s office). She notably served as Chief Administrative Officer of the City of Paris and later as Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister from 2014 to 2016. This background gave her deep expertise in public finance, institutional strategy, negotiation, and organizational change. She joined Nexity in 2017 and gradually expanded her responsibilities before taking over executive leadership of the group. At Nexity, she has led a period of major strategic transformation, including a sharper focus on core activities, stronger financial discipline, and a sustained effort to reduce debt. In 2024, she said the group was continuing a roadmap designed to adapt Nexity to a difficult property market by accelerating transformation measures, lowering costs, and evolving toward a more urban-operator business model. Her profile is often described as combining technical rigor, strategic thinking, and diplomatic skills, bridging public-sector leadership and listed-company management. At Nexity, she has championed a vision centered on urban transformation, business model adaptation, and the group’s ability to respond to changing housing and real estate service needs.
