Valérie Britay is a senior French executive with more than 30 years of experience in corporate real estate. She holds a master’s degree in management and a DESS in marketing from Paris-Dauphine University, and her career has been shaped by commercial development, office asset strategy, and the management of large client-facing teams. Before joining Gecina, she spent many years at Unibail-Rodamco, where she held several key leadership roles. She first served as Sales Director, then as Deputy Managing Director of the Office division, before being appointed Managing Director of Retail France. That background gave her broad exposure to leasing strategy, tenant relations, portfolio management, and value creation within a major listed real estate platform. Britay joined Gecina in July 2017 as Executive Director of the Office division, at a time when the group was strengthening its focus on high-quality office assets in the most sought-after business districts of Greater Paris. In July 2020, she was appointed Deputy CEO in charge of the Office Division and joined Gecina’s Executive Committee. In this role, she oversees the full office value chain, including asset management, leasing and marketing, property management, technical operations, and engineering. Her responsibilities have been central to Gecina’s strategy of transforming office buildings into more service-oriented, flexible, and user-centric workspaces. Under her leadership, the company has continued to improve leasing performance, sign significant new leases, and reinforce the attractiveness of its premium office portfolio. Her profile reflects strong expertise in office real estate, disciplined execution, and the ability to lead operational transformation in a listed-company environment.
