Stéphane Ougier holds a senior executive position at ALTEN, where he serves as Executive Director. His scope notably covers France, Solutions Subsidiaries and Eastern Europe, placing him at the center of operational and commercial oversight across several strategic geographies and business lines. His role reflects a career built at the intersection of engineering, business development and industrial transformation, with a strong focus on technology-driven sectors. Before joining ALTEN in 2010, Stéphane Ougier developed more than 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry. He began his career at Astrium as a Procurement Manager, gaining hands-on experience in purchasing, supplier management and technically demanding industrial programs. He then moved to Honeywell Aerospace as a Senior Staff Engineer, where he strengthened his engineering background and deepened his understanding of quality, performance and safety requirements in complex industrial environments. In 2006, he joined Akka Technologies as Aerospace Business Development Director, a position that combined technical credibility with client development and market expansion responsibilities. At ALTEN, Stéphane Ougier has become one of the group’s key executives for strategic growth and industrial positioning. His public interventions show a consistent focus on decarbonization, energy transition and the need to reinforce technical expertise. In nuclear energy, he advocates a comprehensive approach covering the full value chain, from R&D and industrial methods to supply chain management, operation, maintenance, commissioning, dismantling and waste management. He also emphasizes standardization, digitalization and skills development as essential levers to support a sector facing major constraints and talent shortages. He also plays an active role in ALTEN’s territorial expansion. During the 2025 inauguration of a new site in Grenoble, he highlighted the importance of the Grenoble ecosystem as a hub for innovation and industrial excellence, especially in energy, electronics, defense and medical technologies. This illustrates his contribution to strengthening ALTEN’s footprint and supporting its long-term industrial strategy in France and abroad. Stéphane Ougier is an engineer from ENSEEIHT and holds a PhD in engineering from Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, giving him a strong technical foundation that complements his executive leadership profile. Overall, he stands out as a leader combining engineering depth, business acumen and strategic execution in highly demanding markets.
