Sébastien Huron is a French executive in the animal health industry, best known for having served as Chairman of Virbac’s management board and later as Chief Executive Officer of the listed veterinary-health group. A graduate of the Toulouse veterinary school, he built a career spanning nearly 25 years in the industry, with extensive international experience and a strong understanding of the animal health market. Virbac states that he began his career in 1994 in Brazil with Hoechst-Roussel, where he quickly moved into marketing responsibilities within the animal health division. He later continued his career in the United States with Intervet, and then with the Merck group, holding positions related to market development and the companion animal business. After rejoining Virbac in 2006, he became managing director of the Spanish subsidiary, then took charge of the European region in 2008, and later became head of Global Business Operations in 2013. He joined Virbac’s executive board in December 2012 and was appointed chairman of that board in December 2017. In that role, Huron was associated with strategic continuity, organizational transformation, and the acceleration of the group’s international development. Virbac highlighted his deep operational knowledge of the company, his broad industry expertise, and his recognized leadership skills. The group also emphasized his vision of an innovative, agile, learning-oriented company, with a strong focus on digital transformation, diversity, and human values. His career remains closely linked to the strengthening of the group’s governance, the coordination of regional operations, and the company’s international growth trajectory.
