Romain Desrousseaux holds a key position in the governance of Neoen, one of the leading independent producers of exclusively renewable energy. He serves as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, having joined the group in 2013 as Deputy CEO in charge of international project development. In 2019, Neoen’s board further strengthened his role by appointing him as a corporate officer, reflecting the company’s need for closer operational oversight of its activities outside France. Before joining Neoen, Desrousseaux built his career within the Louis Dreyfus ecosystem. He began in 1999 at LDCom, where he was responsible for the investment program related to broadband internet network infrastructure. In 2008, he joined Louis Dreyfus Commodities as Deputy Chief Information Officer and later took over operational management for the Africa and Middle East region. This background gave him a solid combination of large-scale project management, technology-driven oversight and international leadership experience—an especially valuable profile in the energy sector, where project development is capital-intensive, cross-border and highly structured. At Neoen, his responsibilities align with the company’s period of strong international expansion. Neoen has positioned itself as a global renewable energy platform with activities spanning solar power, onshore wind and battery storage. The group highlights its footprint across three continents, nearly 200 assets, and a total capacity of 9 GW in operation, under construction or under management as of the end of 2025.
