Robert Klein is the Chief Executive Officer of Voltalia, an international renewable energy company listed on Euronext Paris. He was appointed CEO effective January 1, 2025, after having held key responsibilities within the group, notably overseeing Latin America and North Africa. His career at Voltalia reflects a deep understanding of the renewable energy value chain, spanning development strategy, asset operations, commercial execution, and geographic expansion. He holds a degree in Mathematics from Aix-Marseille University, an engineering degree from Centrale Marseille, and an MBA from IAE. Robert Klein built an international career before and during his time at Voltalia. He began in the oil and gas sector and later played an important role in the international development of a subsidiary of the Fives group, where he identified opportunities and secured contracts in the Middle East and Asia. This background gave him strong experience in complex projects, cross-border negotiations, and business development in demanding markets. Klein joined Voltalia in 2006, at the launch of the company’s activities in Brazil, and was instrumental in building Voltalia’s footprint in one of its most strategic markets. His long-standing presence in Brazil contributed to the company’s rise as a recognized renewable energy player in the country. He also served on the Board of Directors of Leroy Merlin Brazil from 2018 to 2020, further broadening his governance experience in a major local business environment. In parallel, he has been a Board member of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce since 2017, a French Foreign Trade Advisor, and, since 2023, a board member of ABIHV, an association supporting Brazil’s green hydrogen industry. These roles highlight his positioning at the intersection of business, bilateral economic relations, and emerging clean-energy ecosystems. As CEO of Voltalia, Robert Klein is associated with a management style focused on profitable growth, operational discipline, and international scalability. His appointment reflects the group’s intent to strengthen execution, improve performance, and pursue sustainable expansion across its core renewable energy activities.
