Rekha Mehrotra Menon is a highly regarded Indian business leader known for her expertise in organizational transformation, technology-driven growth, and corporate governance. Since 2024, she has served as an independent director of Legrand and sits on the Nomination and Governance Committee, where her international background and broad leadership experience contribute to board composition, succession planning, and governance oversight. She has also served as a director of Biocon, a listed company, since 2023, and holds influential positions in India’s business ecosystem, including membership on the NASSCOM Executive Council and the board of XLRI Xavier School of Management. Rekha M. Menon earned her MBA from XLRI Xavier School of Management. She began her career in human resources in the manufacturing sector before becoming an independent consultant advising multinational companies setting up operations in India. She then co-founded Talisma Corporation, a venture-backed customer relationship management software company, gaining early entrepreneurial experience in the technology sector. In 2004, she joined Accenture as an Associate Partner, where she was tasked with building and managing corporate functions, first in India and later across ASEAN, the Philippines, and China. She subsequently became part of Accenture’s Growth Markets strategy team, helping shape the company’s expansion across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, Turkey, and Latin America. From 2016 to 2023, she served as Senior Managing Director and Chair of Accenture in India. In that role, she helped scale one of Accenture’s most important geographies and supported India’s position as a global innovation hub for the firm. She was also instrumental in advancing gender diversity, sustainability, and talent management initiatives within the organization. Beyond corporate leadership, she has played notable roles in the wider industry and policy community, including serving as Chair of NASSCOM from 2021 to 2022 and leading the G20 EMPOWER Working Group on women’s economic empowerment. Her career combines operational leadership, strategic execution, and a strong commitment to inclusive growth and governance excellence.
