About Régis Combaluzier

Régis Combaluzier is a French executive with a strong background in corporate finance, governance, and the development of innovation-driven energy businesses. He currently serves as Director of EDF Pulse Incubation, EDF Group’s intrapreneurship programme designed to create and accelerate new businesses aligned with the energy transition. He is also a board director of McPhy Energy and sits on its audit committee, placing him at the center of the governance of a hydrogen-focused industrial company. A graduate of Montpellier Business School and holder of a DEUG in economics from the University of Aix-Marseille II, Combaluzier built his career within EDF Group. He began in EDF’s Finance Department as a market operator and later as a project manager, where he worked on the acquisition of generation assets in Rybnik, Poland, and the financing of several combined-cycle power projects in Mexico. He then held a succession of roles across EDF, ENEDIS and EDEV before joining EDF’s innovation ecosystem in 2017. His earlier responsibilities include operational excellence management control within EDF Shared Services from 2010 to 2013, followed by deputy secretary-general of EDEV from 2013 to 2017. Before that, he led the Data Production and Services unit at Enedis’ Finance and Strategy division between 2008 and 2010, after serving in several positions in EDF’s finance organization from 2000 to 2007. This progression gave him broad expertise in performance management, financial structuring, and cross-functional execution. Since joining EDF Pulse, he has overseen an investment portfolio and supported numerous start-ups, bringing a hands-on approach to incubation. His expertise spans project selection, investment monitoring, partnership structuring, and assessing industrial synergies. At McPhy Energy, his board role strengthens the company’s strategic and financial governance in the hydrogen sector. Overall, Régis Combaluzier represents a hybrid governance profile at the intersection of finance, innovation, and energy transformation.
