Prosper Yoni Ammar, generally referred to as Yoni Ammar, is currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Voltalia, where he oversees energy development, generation and sales activities across Europe, Latin America, Africa and International markets. His appointment was part of Voltalia’s governance reorganization announced in March 2025, following the arrival of Robert Klein as Chief Executive Officer. Within Voltalia’s Executive Committee, Ammar plays a key role in executing the group’s strategy and supporting operational performance across its international renewable-energy platform. He began his career in 2004 at Natixis as an investment banker specializing in energy and infrastructure, building a strong foundation in project finance, transaction structuring and complex capital-intensive sectors. In 2009, he founded a renewable-energy project development company operating in France and abroad, which further strengthened his entrepreneurial and sector-specific expertise. Ammar joined Voltalia in 2014 to help lead the company’s IPO, a milestone that supported Voltalia’s expansion and visibility as a listed renewable-energy group. In 2015, he launched Voltalia’s Moroccan subsidiary and managed it until 2018, helping establish the company’s footprint in a strategically important North African market. From 2018 to 2024, he served as Head of Financing and Investments, a role in which he was responsible for securing the group’s growth funding through both equity and debt during a period of strong expansion. Voltalia also indicates that he had already been strengthening operational teams in his regional responsibilities, with recent successes notably in Tunisia and Uzbekistan. Overall, his career combines finance, entrepreneurship and operational leadership, making him a highly experienced executive in international renewable energy development.
