Pierre-Éric Pommellet is a French industrial executive known for his career in major strategic and technology-driven groups, as well as for his experience leading complex transformations. According to LISI’s published governance information, he serves as a member of the company’s Board of Directors, having been appointed in April 2024 for a four-year term. LISI still lists him among its board members as of January 1, 2025, confirming his current role within the listed company. He is best known for his leadership at Naval Group, where he became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in March 2020. Prior to that appointment, he spent more than two decades at Thales, holding several senior positions, including Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Performance Officer, and leadership roles across major business areas such as defense mission systems and aerospace. His earlier career also included public-sector responsibilities, notably as chief of staff to Jean-Pierre Raffarin at the ministry responsible for SMEs, trade, crafts and consumer affairs, as well as technical experience in the defense ecosystem. With a high-level scientific and engineering background, he graduated from École polytechnique, ISAE-SUPAERO and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. That academic foundation supported a career focused on complex systems, innovation, industrial performance and the management of high-technology businesses. At Thales, he built a reputation as an execution-oriented leader with strong operational discipline, before taking the helm at Naval Group in a context marked by major industrial, sovereign and international stakes. As a corporate leader, Pommellet is associated with strategic clarity, operational rigor and strong stakeholder engagement. His appointment to LISI’s board fits that profile: bringing a long-term industrial perspective, experience with large programs, and a deep understanding of competitiveness, supply-chain resilience and transformation. This makes him particularly relevant for listed industrial companies operating in demanding environments, where value creation depends on both operational excellence and strategic foresight.
